The Academy continues its "The Sound Behind the Image" series here in Los Angeles on August 8th. Supervising Sound Editor Mark A. Mangini hosts a night focusing on animated film sound past and present. Structured like last year's event which was hosted by Ben Burtt, the night of August 8th will begin with a historical account of all the onomatopoeia utilized in animation, followed by a panel discussion with sound supervisors and mixers!
